Ten Toe Walks Schedule & Checklist

Ten Toe Walks are scheduled for each week. Walks will begin at different stops along the MetroLink alignment. Please make sure to check day of week and time of departure. They will vary for each walk group.

Walking Checklist

Before you leave the house for your walk, check for the following items:

• Comfortable shoes
• Weather appropriate clothes
  
• Money in case you need to make a phone call, buy water or stop for breakfast/lunch on your trip
• Umbrella, depending on the weather forecast
• Indentification card (Driver's license or other state issued ID or medical alert cards)
• MetroLink tickets (or money to purchase tickets)
• Hat/sunglasses or sunscreen depending on weather
• Ten Toe Express travel bag
• Ten Toe Express pedometer -make sure to reset your pedometer that morning
• Cell phone if you have one
• Walking route card for the day's walk if you are going on one of the scheduled Ten Toe Walks

Spring 2008 Schedule of Walk Groups

Each walk group is scheduled for 12 weeks. In most cases, only the first few weeks of walks have been set. The later walks are TBD. Keep checking back for updates. Walking groups will use MetroLink or MetroBus to reach the site of each walk. Walks range from 0.3 miles to 1.5 miles.

Special Lunch-Hour Commuter Walk Groups Starting at Various Stations

NOTE: These walk groups will meet at the specified Metrolink stations and walk the area surrounding the station. Because these walks are designed to meet over the lunch-hour (11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.), they will not utilize the Metrolink or Metrobus. Although these walks are designed for commuters, everyone is invited to attend.
