The Citizens for Modern Transit Guaranteed
Ride Home benefit for registered MetroLink, bus, bicycle or
walking commuters has been raised to $60 per ride as of Jan. 1, 2008.
The CMT Guaranteed Ride Home Program allows all registered commuters
who work for participating employers to receive up to 4 emergency
rides home per year. CMT will pay 80% of the cost of the ride home
up to $60. This amount has been raised from the previous $40 limit.
The subsidized cab rides home provide a security blanket for those
commuters who choose to use an alternative mode of transportation.
More than 150 employers are now offering the Guaranteed Ride Home
for transit, bicyle and walking commuters.
Employers who have recently signed on to the program include Anheuser-Busch
Companies, Macy’s, Monsanto Company, the College School, and the U.S.
Attorney’s office. To find out if your employer offers the Guaranteed
Ride Home Program, visit www.cmt-stl.org.
