What is car
share and can it work in St. Louis? Car sharing is a neighborhood
based transportation service that lets members have round-the-clock
access to clean, gassed-up cars, but only pay for the actual amount
they drive. It costs a couple of bucks an hour on top of monthly
or yearly membership - no insurance payments, no oil changes and
no hassle.
The program
provides just one more incentive to take the MetroLink or MetroBus,
and it’s already happening in Boston, Portland, Cambridge, Washington
D.C., Berkeley and Chicago.
