2003 Combined North & West MetroLink Expansion route

2000 MTIA Preferred Alternatives combined for possible MetroLink Line

Alternative follows:

  • The project would extend north from a connection with existing MetroLink in the St. Louis CBD to the vicinity of Natural Bridge Road and Riverview Blvd. in north St. Louis County. The route will then split, with a north branch extending to the Northland Shopping Area on West Florissant Ave. and a west branch extending to the WestPort Area at Page Ave. and I-270.

Congress authorized $275 million for the project in the reauthorization of the transportation bill, SAFETEA. .

In 2000, East-WEst Gateway identified locally preferred alternatives in the North, South and Daniel Boone study areas as a part of the federally funded Major Transportation Investment Analysis. MetroLink was the preferred alternative in each corridor.
